About Kurt
Originally from Ohio, Kurt and his wife, Courtney, made their way south — from Cleveland to Cincinnati — before eventually planting roots in Lake Highlands. They are active members of Highland Park United Methodist Church and deeply value the sense of community it provides. At home, they’re constantly immersed in new house projects while keeping up with the daily adventures of their two young children (both under three) and their twelve-pound cavapoo.
Kurt’s passion for architecture began early. From the time he was six years old, he was captivated by building — spending countless hours with Legos and blocks, imagining spaces that could one day come to life. Over the course of his career, he’s worked across a wide range of building types including commercial, sports, education, residential, and hospitality. His portfolio includes notable projects such as the 38-story Virgin Hotel in New York City and the Dallas Mavericks Training Facility.
Yet, it’s residential architecture that continues to inspire him most. Kurt discovered his love for designing homes while working with Court Atkins Group, one of Forbes’ Top Residential Architecture Firms, in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Now proudly rooted in Dallas, Kurt draws from the city’s creative energy, craftsmanship, and sense of community. Whether designing in Texas or beyond, his goal remains the same — to create homes that feel timeless, grounded, and unmistakably personal. Every project begins with listening, collaboration, and curiosity. The process should be as rewarding as the result — and when it all comes together, the finished home feels as if it’s always belonged.
